The Pro Max is the interesting one. A 10,000mAh cell with 100W charging is a genuinely unusual combination — most big-battery phones charge slowly, which is what makes them frustrating to live with.

Only the Pro Max is expected to have it. The standard Redmi Note 17 Pro is reported at 8,340mAh in its global version — still large, but 17% smaller than the number on the poster.
This is a completely normal marketing technique and Xiaomi is far from the only brand doing it. But if you walk into a store having seen “10,000mAh” and walk out with the cheaper model, you did not get what you thought you were buying. Check which variant you are looking at.

Should you buy it?
Wait for the actual prices. We have already seen this year how wrong pre-launch estimates can be — the iPhone 18 Pro was tipped at ₹1,39,900 and launched at ₹1,64,900, a ₹25,000 miss. Do not pre-book on a leaked number.
If the Pro Max lands near ₹43,000, a 10,000mAh battery with 100W charging and IP69K is a strong package, and nothing else in India offers that combination.
If it lands at ₹47,999, think harder. At that price you are into territory where flagship-chip phones from last generation become available, and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 is a mid-range processor.

The Honest Fine Print
Every spec above is unconfirmed. They come from leaks and from international variants. Indian models routinely differ — different chipsets, different battery sizes, different camera tuning.
Launch prices are not real prices. Xiaomi almost always announces an introductory price with a bank offer attached, then the number rises. Ask what the price is without the card discount.
Nobody has reviewed these phones. Battery claims and peak-brightness figures are manufacturer numbers. Sustained gaming performance and real charging times will not be known for weeks.
